Many people know that Word has a spell/grammar check. In my experience, however, not everyone is aware that it isn’t perfect. If you have two words that have similar sounds and both can be used relatively sensibly in a sentence but only one is the correct word, Word will not always be able to tell you if you’re right or wrong. (Actual examples seen: “in a timely manner” versus “in a timely manor” or “thank you for your patience” versus “thank you for your patients.”)

Please note that I will only review documents for grammar and clarity. I do not provide essay- or report-writing services.

Do you have a large amount of data that needs to be presented in a chart or graph and you have no idea where to start? Do you need to summarize your data in some other way? Are you stuck trying to come up with a formula to process your data? I can help! Excel is one of my favorite programs to work in.

• Assisting with formula creation
• Unlocking password protected files. (Only applicable to 2007/2010 .xlsx files that can be opened, but cannot be edited without a password.)

Do you have a large document which needs bookmarks, or maybe you need it split into smaller documents? Maybe you have old forms that need to be updated, but you can only find the PDF file? Perhaps you have a beautifully-crafted form in Word, but need it set up as a PDF? The forms I create as PDFs are suitable for importing the data into a database once they have been filled out.

Examples of services provided:

• Converting Word forms to PDFs including, if needed, creating the original form in Word
• Converting PDF documents into Word or Excel files, including formatting cleanup and optical character recognition (OCR) cleanup
• Bookmarking and other PDF modifications

In addition to several years experience with MS Word and Excel, I am also familiar with PowerPoint and, to a lesser extent, Access and Publisher.

• Creating presentations, if given a presentation outline
• Creating master slides (templates) for presentations
• Setting up databases and form for easy data entry

Not everyone wants to use Microsoft Office, and I can work with that. Many of the same things that can be done in the Microsoft Office products can also be accomplished in Open Office or Libre Office. If what you need cannot be accomplished in either of these suites of programs, I will work with you to get it done.

This is part of what I’m studying for. I created this site for my business and here is an example of a site I made for a webcomic. There is a lack of content on the site (his responsibility), but it is fully functional and will auto-update when a new comic page gets uploaded.
